About artist
      
     Maria Voronova is a professional artist and art teacher. She was born and raised in Russia, and now lives in Vancouver, Canada with her family.
     She graduated from her art school with honors, and earned her M.A. in fine arts from the State University in Russia.
     She worked in an art school for children as a teacher and later as an art director in municipal theater, where she created stage settings and designed costumes.
     Maria works in multiple mediums such as acrylic on canvas, oil on canvas and water color. Color is the inspiration and driving force for Maria's art. She is especially interested in capturing the energy of moments through the exploration of colors, patterns and forms. Her love of nature plays a great influence in her  paintings as well as the great masters: Klimt, Matisse  and Kandinsky.
     She has exhibited in Russia, Poland, Sri Lanka and Canada.
     Her works have been featured in art publications.
